Add Google Analytics to Your Web Site
Use Google Analytics to learn which online marketing initiatives are cost effective and see how visitors actually interact with your site. Make informed site design improvements, drive targeted traffic, and increase your conversions and profits.
1. Go to https://www.google.com/analytics/
2. Login or create a Google account
3. Under your username, to the right of My Analytics Accounts, choose Create New Account
4. Under Sign Up for Google Analytics, click the Sign Up button
5. Enter your site's General Information and click the Continue button
6. Enter your site's Contact Information and click the Continue button
7. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and click the Create New Account button
8. Copy the Tracking Code displayed in the text area

9. Login to your Site Creator website and go to your site Dashboard
10. Under Design, click Templates

11. In the text field, enter google_analytics, choose Content from the choice box, and click the create button
12. Click google_analytics in the list of files
13. In the editor, paste in the Google Tracking Code you copied in step 8
14. IMPORTANT - DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP

with
catch(err) \{\}
15. Click the Save button
16. Under Design, click Templates
17. Click the Web Page Body template (e.g. global) you want to track.
Note: Start with the template your index/home page uses. You will probably also want to repeat steps 18-21 with the global template if your index page uses something different.
18. Click the Insert Variable link
19. In the Choose Variable choice box, select Content Template: tpl_google_analytics

20. Copy {tpl_google_analytics} from the text field
21. Paste {tpl_google_analytics} below all other content in the template.
